Robert "Bob" Kumiski

Robert "Bob" Kumiski, 74 of Bridgeton and the son of the late Michael Kumiski Sr. and the late Hester May (nee Shinn) Kumiski died on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 after a brief stay at Cape Regional Medical Center in Middle Township.

Bob was born May 14, 1935 in Bridgeton and lived in the Bridgeton area all his life. He lived at his current address for several years and also lived at the Cohansey View Apartments and on E. Commerce Street for several years.

In his younger years Bob was a self-employed house painter and worked on many area homes.

His real passion was taking care of his cars, often waxing them until they had a perfect finish. Always lending a hand to his family and friends, Bob was a caregiver to his mother for several years until her death in 1991. He always enjoyed family functions with his grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Survivors include three daughters, Hester Robbins and her husband George "Eddie" of Upper Deerfield Twp., Sherri Cook and her husband Warren "Cookie" of Cedarville and Joanie Riggins and her husband Brian of Millville, six grandchildren, Robert Robbins, Genine Kumiski, Casey Homan, Samantha Riggins, Sharon Riggins and Brian Riggins Jr. and one great granddaughter, Lillie White. He is also survived by one brother, Donald Kumiski and his wife Lucia of Augusta, GA, one sister-in-law, Marie Kumiski of Upper Deerfield, nephews, Donald, Mark and Kyle Kumiski and niece Michele Kumiski. Bob was predeceased, in addition to his parents, by brothers, Bruce Kumiski in 1977 and Michael Kumiski Jr. in 1999 and a nephew, Michael Kumiski III in 1995.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob's graveside funeral service at Overlook Cemetery, Greenwich Road in Bridgeton on Monday afternoon March 1st at 1 o'clock.

Pastor John S. DuBois will officiate.

The burial will follow the services.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Freitag Funeral Home of Bridgeton.
